La ilaha Il-Allah  Mohammed ur Rasool Allah

LA ILAHA ILLALLAH MOHAMMAD-UR- RASOOL ALLAH

(There is none who can be worshipped except Allah and Mohammad is His Messenger)

There is none worth to be worshipped except Allah and Mohammad is Allah’s Messenger. Believer is the one who understands, orally affirms and heart fully believes in the above ‘Kalima’, and a MUSLIM (obedient) is the one who, in addition to the above, tries to put into practice, the commands of Allah and Messenger throughout his life.

(Ale Imran-19) “ truly the religion with Allah is Islam (obedience) only”.

The word ‘Islam’ is derived from Arabic word ‘Salam’, which means, apart from obedience and submission; peace and rest as well. This means that a Muslim cannot cause undue harm or suffering to others with his/her words or deeds. If any Muslim contradicts this, he can no longer remain a Muslim with Allah, because Allah’s rules governing penalty for man’s misdeeds are very stringent. ( Ale Imran- 85)

وَمَنْ يَّبْتَـغِ غَيْرَ الْاِسْلَامِ دِيْنًا فَلَنْ يُّقْبَلَ مِنْہُ۝۰ۚ وَھُوَفِي الْاٰخِرَۃِ مِنَ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ۝۸۵ “ and whoever seeks a religion other than Islam (i.e. Obedience) it will never be accepted and, in the Hereafter,  he will be one of the losers”, means Hell will be his permanent abode.

The qualities of being prompt in begging for pardon, repentance, on the occurrence of a misdeed, atonement, are the attributes of a Muslim. One who dies after affirmation of ‘Kalima’ goes to the Paradise (Nisa-110). He who disobeys the commands of Allah and is guided by his own desires (lust) is a Mushrik, (one who joins others besides Allah, in prayers).

(Furqan-43)  اَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰـہَہٗ ہَوٰىہُ۝۰ۭ     “ have you seen him who has taken his own desire as his God,” The same is said  in Qasas- 50, Jaathiyah- 23 as well.

THE RIGID LAW OF SALVATION

يُّصْلِحْ لَكُمْ اَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوْبَكُمْ۝۰ۭ وَمَنْ يُّطِعِ اللہَ وَرَسُوْلَہٗ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيْمًا۝۷۱ ( Ahzaab-71) (when you say truth and try hard to save yourself from being disobedient to Allah) “ Allah makes your conduct whole and sound and forgives your sins. He who obeys Allah and His Messenger, has for sure, attained great success. The meaning of obeying Allah is to put His commands, in practice, in accordance with His Protocol (Model of practicing His Commands). This is not possible until Allah (who can’t be seen either in consciousness or in a dreams) reveals His protocol (Model) to His slaves. To meet this demand Allah, through his messengers, has prescribed the procedure of putting His laws into practice, and made them to practice His laws. Therefore, it is made clear

(Nisa-80) “He who obeys the Messenger, indeed, obeys Me”.     And

(Nisa-64) “We sent an Apostle only to be obeyed in accordance with the will of Allah”, and THIS IS ALLAH’S  LAW. Also said is

(Nisa- 59) “O you who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you”. It is to be noted here that it’s mandatory for the believers to obey their ‘Amir’ (He who is charged with authority among you),

(Maeda-92) “ obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and Beware! (of disobeying them). Regarding the punishment for rejecting the obedience of Allah and Messenger it is stated,

(Nisa-42) “on that day those who reject the faith (that there is no God but Allah) and disobey the Apostle will wish that they would have never been raised again and they would never be able to hide a single fact from Allah. Moreover it has been ordered to the wives of the messenger in (Ahzab-33) وَاَطِعْنَ اللہَ وَرَسُوْلَہٗ۝۰ۭ Obey Allah and his messenger”. In verse 8 of Surah Majdalah it is stated that Hell is the reward for those who hold secret meetings in disobedience of the messenger. It is stated in verse 8 of  Surah Talaq that how many populations that opposed the command of their Lord and of his Apostles did we not call to account – a severe account, and We imposed on them a horrible chastisement. (Ahzab- 36)

“No believing men or women has authority to make decision on a matter when the decision has already been given by Allah or His messenger ( in the form of an instruction). This means that there is no room for any change what so ever. If anyone disobeys Allah and His messenger, he is indeed on a clear wrong path. To show the importance of obedience of Allah and his messenger it is stated:

 [Ale Imran-32 قُلْ اَطِيْعُوا اللہَ وَالرَّسُوْلَ۝۰ۚ فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاِنَّ اللہَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ۝۳۲ [ “Say; Obey Allah and his messenger, but if they turn back, Allah love not those who reject faith”.

(Ale Imran-132) وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ “And obey Allah and his messenger that you may obtain mercy”. And the same is said at in verse 56 of Surah Noor.

Obey Allah and his messenger, if you really believe”.

There never came a messenger to them, but they used to mock at him”.

(Furqan- 27) وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا “On the day of Judgment, the wrong doers will bite their hands, and say, ‘Oh! Would that I had taken a path of the messenger”.

(Ahzaab-66) يَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ يَقُولُونَ يَا لَيْتَنَا أَطَعْنَا اللَّهَ وَأَطَعْنَا الرَّسُولَا “On that day their faces will be turned upside down in the fire, and they will say ‘woo to us! We must have obeyed Allah and obeyed the messenger”.

The one who follows the temptations of Satan is the worshipper of Satan. But it is forbidden to worship the Satan as stated at (Yaseen-60) أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا الشَّيْطَانَ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ  “Did I not command you, O children of Adam, that you should not worship Satan, verily! Satan is your open enemy. Following the temptations of Satan is indeed the worship of Satan, which is clearly a forbidden act as stated in (Baqara- 208)

وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ  “and follow not the footsteps of the Satan”.

A single act of disobedience nullifies all our previous good deeds, as referred in

“Oh you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the messenger and do not make your good deeds go in vain”. Faith is ejected out of a believer when he commits an act of disobedience, and it returns to him when he renounces” (makes a Taubah).

            TAUBAH (REPENTANCE, RENUNCIATION, PENITENCE, RETURN)

There is a glad tiding of forgiveness for one who immediately repents upon committing a sin.

(Nisa-17)

“Allah accepts the repentance of only those who commit sin in ignorance and repent soon after; to them will Allah turn in mercy. For Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom”.

The repentance on the threshold of death is not acceptable.

“And the repentance of them who continues to commit sin until death faces them, and now says “I repent indeed” is of no effect along with those who die rejecting faith”.

Quran is the book of knowledge, and the knowledge therein pertains to the hereafter.

(Araaf-52) وَلَقَدۡ جِئۡنَـٰهُم بِكِتَـٰبٍ۬ فَصَّلۡنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ “We had certainly sent a book unto them which is based on knowledge, which We explained in detail- a guide and a mercy to all who believe.” Therefore, it is so essential to read the Quran duly understanding its meaning so as to be ‘guided’. There is no other way of getting rid of the ignorance. ‘Intellect’ is the basic prerequisite to acquire knowledge, because with this very intellect only that the human being can be acquainted of the ‘benefit’ and ‘loss’ and differentiate between these two. Therefore, it is stated in

(Yunus-100)  وَيَجۡعَلُ ٱلرِّجۡسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡقِلُونَ “He hath set uncleanness upon those who have no sense.”

And it is further stated in

“For the worst of the creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and dumb- those who do not use their intellect (wisdom).”

One goes to Hell on account of not using his brain (intellect, wisdom) as admitted by the Hell dwellers.

“They will further say, ‘we have listened or used our intelligence, we shouldn’t have been (here) among the companions of the blazing Fire’”. The wisdom (intellect) does not accept the contradictious or opposing statements and this is the reason why Shariat (divine law) is not binding on the insane (mentally incompetent).

Accepting any statement against Quran, be it in the name of Hadeeth, is equal to discrediting the Quran. Whoever does so is the biggest wrong doer. (Anam-21 and Yunus-17)  وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوۡ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِهِۦۤ‌ “Who is more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allah or rejects His signs (Ayaths)”.  (Anam-106) ٱتَّبِعۡ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ‌ۖ  “Follow what has been revealed to you (O Mohammad) from your Lord”. The same instruction is given at Ayat -17 of Surah Yunus and 2 of Ahzab.  In execution of the above instruction Of Allah, the messenger is directed to declare

"I follow only that which is revealed to me”. Therefore, every Hadeeth which is contrary to the Quran, and which is being proved wrong in the practical observation must be a fabricated one, because none of the assertion/ action (deed) of our Prophet can either be against Quran or proven wrong in the practical observation.

THE ACTUAL DAMAGE

(Haj - 19) هَـٰذَانِ خَصۡمَانِ ٱخۡتَصَمُواْ فِى رَبِّہِم  “These two groups are those who quarrel with each other about their Lord”.

It was because that they believed Allah to be the only Lord that the Companions of cave were to take shelter in the cave so as to save their lives (Kahf-14). They quarreled with Ibrahim just because he claimed Allah to be the One and the only God (Baqra-258). Our Messenger had to migrate from Mecca because he called people to believe. ‘O’ people! Say ‘There is no god but Allah’, and achieve success; and his Companions were expelled from Mecca because they believed Allah alone to be their Lord.

They are those who were expelled from their homes in defiance of their rights, for no cause except that they said “our Lord is Allah”.

Throughout the past it was believed that Allah is the one and only God, the Creator and the Nourisher. Therefore, all the prophets made their people to recall this universally accepted assertion and invited to examine their beliefs and set them right in this light.

(Noah said to his people) ‘O my People! worship Allah, you have no other god but Him. The same is said at Ayaths of 65, 74 and 85 of this Surah and at many other places.

Whenever the believers became unmindful of the teachings of Allah and the Messenger they were promptly entangled by the Satan against the belief of ‘La Ilaha Illallah’. He has, in fact, made a challenge with Allah that he will do so. This is clearly mentioned in (Araf-17) ثُمَّ لَأَتِيَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَيۡنِ أَيۡدِيہِمۡ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ وَعَنۡ أَيۡمَـٰنِہِمۡ وَعَن شَمَآٮِٕلِهِمۡ‌ۖ وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ شَـٰكِرِينَ  “Then will I assault them from the front, from behind, from their right, and from their left; Nor will you find gratitude in majority of them”.

From the above it is evident that real and actual distortion lies with matters of belief such as those related to nourishment, need fulfilling, difficulty removal, and grievance redressing, which are the issues that badly perplex the believers (Muslims), wherein, they equate or join ( in worship), the deceased, the unseen entities with Allah, and think them to be need fulfillers, difficulty removers, grievance redressers, patrons, the generous, Ghouse, helper of the poor (Ghareeb nawaz), and the intercessors. They eat and drink from what is given by Allah, but consider it to be the grace or work of an elder (a Saint).

The second distortion in Allah’s scheme of nourishment comes from the beliefs in the practices of magic (sorcery) and related practices, amulets, knotted strings, exorcise (Jhad Phoonk),  evil influences,  sooth saying, auspiciousness, un-auspiciousness (ominous), fortune-telling, evil sight (nazar- e- bad),  fatalism (astrology), Darood conferences, benefitting from ayath, vard, reciting surahs (as cure),  or Quran  completion; inscription of ayath-e - kareema on table clothes (dastarqwan) etc. Believing in the above practices is equal to believing in the predetermination (predestination) in this world, which is actually a place of ‘cause and effect’ (Darul-azbaab), where nothing happens without a cause and nothing can be achieved without effort. Any belief contrary to this is fake (un real). Nothing as such exists in this world.

This is stated in (Momin-43) لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّمَا تَدۡعُونَنِىٓ إِلَيۡهِ لَيۡسَ لَهُ ۥ دَعۡوَةٌ۬ فِى ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَلَا فِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ  “No doubt you call me towards one (to worship) who cannot grant (me) my request (respond to my invocations) in this world or in the Hereafter”. These are imaginary or fancy acts of Satan as all such beliefs are absolutely against Allah’s system of Governance and the damage resulting from having faith in such satanic beliefs is mentioned at:

A) (Nisa-48) إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغۡفِرُ أَن يُشۡرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغۡفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٲلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ‌ۚ وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰٓ إِثۡمًا عَظِيمًا Verily Allah forgives not the act of setting up of partners unto Him (in worship), but he forgives anything other than this, to whom He wills. And whoever setup partners unto Allah in worship, he has, indeed, invented a tremendous sin”.

The Mushrik (one who sets up partners with Allah in worship) is described as the one who strayed far away.

C) (Maeda-72) إِنَّهُ ۥ مَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَمَأۡوَٮٰهُ ٱلنَّار it is stated “ and whosoever sets  up partners with Allah, then Allah has forbidden paradise to him, and fire will be his abode”.

D) (Anam-88) وَلَوۡ أَشۡرَكُواْ لَحَبِطَ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ ‘but if they had joined others with Allah, all that (good deeds) they have done would have been of no benefit to them”.

“(O Muhammad)! If you join others in worship with Allah (then) surely all your deeds will be in vain and you will certainly be among the losers”.

The most appropriate way prescribed to avoid the filth of Shirk is as follows:

A) (Naml-80) إِنَّكَ لَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ “Verily you cannot make the dead to listen”.

(O Prophet)! “But you cannot make those to hear who are (buried) in the grave”. When the fact is as such, some question- Where is it said, in the Quran that the dead cannot listen?

C) (Fatir-14)

“ If you call upon them (the dead, including messengers), they hear not your call, and if (in case) hear they cannot answer your prayer,  and on the day of resurrection they disown your worshipping them, and none can tell you the truth like the One who is acquainted of all”. The above is an unequivocal discussion about ‘calling’ (invoking), and ‘hearing’ (granting, heeding). In spite of such clarity people lie regarding this issue. Thus, it becomes mandatory to believe that once dead, no one, not even the prophets can be able to listen to our calls. This means that all the dead, including, the noble, and the prophets etc are totally unaware of the calls of the living in the form of Nazar, Niyaz, Fateha, Darood till the Day of Judgment, as said in

D)(Yunus-29) فَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَہِيدَۢا بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ إِن كُنَّا عَنۡ عِبَادَتِكُمۡ لَغَـٰفِلِينَ  “ On the day of resurrection, those who were made partners to Allah will say to those who set them up as partners to Allah, “So enough is Allah as witness between us and you, that we indeed knew nothing of your worship of us”. And the same is said at (Nahl-86) “And when those who associated partners with Allah will see their partners and will say, our Lord! These are our partners whom we used to invoke besides you, but they will throw back their words at them, and say, “Surely, you indeed are liars” and at (Mariam-82) It is stated that on the Day the so called partners of Allah “will reject their worship, and become adversaries against them”.

And it is stated in

E) (Ahqaaf-5,6)

And who is further astray than those who, instead of Allah, pray unto such as hear not their prayer until the Day of Resurrection, and are unconscious of their prayer.”

And when mankind are gathered (to the Judgment) will become enemies for them, and will become deniers of having been worshipped.

The powerlessness, helplessness, vulnerability etc.  of the nobles, and the Prophets is described in:

F)  (Fatir-13) وَٱلَّذِينَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مِن قِطۡمِيرٍ  “And those whom you invoke besides Him do not have the power even equal to the layer on the date seed”

and its proof is quoted in

They have no control of harming or benefitting themselves’, nor can they control death nor life, nor resurrection”.

                As regarding the matters related to the hearing of the livings call, and the help of the Nobles and prophets, it is said as under;

H) (Nahl-21) أَمۡوَٲتٌ غَيۡرُ أَحۡيَآءٍ۬‌ۖ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبۡعَثُونَ  “ They are dead, lifeless, nor they do know when they will be raised up”. The same said at (Naml-65).

CALLING ON THE ONES OTHER THAN ALLAH

Calling the dead or unseen entities be they, the Peers (Nobles), or the Prophets, for help is forbidden with reasons for such a restriction. (Yunus-106) وَلَا تَدۡعُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكَ وَلَا يَضُرُّكَ‌ۖ فَإِن فَعَلۡتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذً۬ا مِّنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ “Nor call on anyone other than Allah, such will neither profit you nor hurt you; If you do so, behold, you shall certainly be among the wrong doers”.

Calling on the dead or unseen entities is baseless, and it amounts to rejection of faith, as stated in

“If any one invokes, besides Allah, any other God, he has no authority there for, and his reckoning will be with his Lord, and verily the unbelievers will fall to win through”. Those who invoke the dead or unseen entities, instead of Allah, are the rejecters, and they are the unsuccessful.

(Raad-14) وَمَا هُوَ بِبَـٰلِغِهِۦ‌ۚ وَمَا دُعَآءُ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ۬  “The prayer of those without faith (which means invoking the dead and unseen entities) is (equal to) futile wandering”.

(Haj-12) يَدۡعُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُ ۥ وَمَا لَا يَنفَعُهُ ۥ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ٱلۡبَعِيدُ “They call on dead and unseen entities, besides Allah; but they can neither hurt nor profit them. This is the extreme form of straying (misguidance)”. (Haj-62) وَاَنَّ مَا يَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِہٖ ہُوَالْبَاطِلُ “And those besides Him whom they invoke are the falsehood”.

But what we are (being) taught is not just against the above quoted instructions of God, but also is based on the satanic doctrines and is a matter of manifestation of love for nobles, Prophets. As a matter of fact, calling on the Peer and prophets is nothing but calling on the Satan, as stated in (Nisa-117) إِن يَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦۤ إِلَّآ إِنَـٰثً۬ا وَإِن يَدۡعُونَ إِلَّا شَيۡطَـٰنً۬ا مَّرِيدً۬ا “These people, leaving Him, call but upon female deities; they, but call upon Satan, the persistent rebel”.

Everyone observes directly with his own eyes that the dead can neither listen nor help; rather they are fully dependent on the living ones even for their post mortal rituals like (body) bath, shrouding, the funeral prayer, cremation, and for supplication for their absolution. Despite all these the Satan and his disciples are deeply engaged in proving the contrary (that the living ones are dependent on the dead elders). Forget not, except in the nomenclature, there is no difference between Urs and Jatra; temple and Dargah; Istehan and Chillah; except in nomenclature. Therefore, the messenger has stated that believing that benefit or bounty can be achieved from the graves (Dargahs) attracts Allah’s curse. (Hadeeth)

In accordance with one of his challenges with the God of making the Adam’s progeny rightful of the Hell, the Satan is relentlessly trying to make them thankless, and his other challenge is that he (the Satan) will make this world (instead of the Hereafter) look more brilliant (pleasant) to the humans, as stated in (Hijr-39) (To escape from Satan’s deception Allah asks prophets to say in Kahaf-103, 104)

“Shall we  tell you who are the greatest losers as per their deeds? Those whose efforts have been wasted in the  accomplishment of the needs of this life, without caring for loss in the other world, while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds”.

In the same way it is stated in (Anam-130) that on the day of resurrection the assembly of Jinn and mankind will say

“We bear witness against ourselves, it is the worldly life that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were the rejecters of the fact that Allah alone, and is without any partners, is the Lord.”

Everyone in the world is fully involved in making efforts to find ways and means of earning the food (and comforts). Here are some wrong notions the Satan has made the believers to get entangled with because of their ignorance and mistakes committed in acquiring the right ways and means in search of right guidance (which is possible only through Quran, Sunnah, and the way of the Companions) which only can assure them to save themselves from the loss of the other world.

1) (Nisa-51) أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ نَصِيبً۬ا مِّنَ ٱلۡڪِتَـٰبِ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡجِبۡتِ وَٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ “Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the scripture, but still believe in ‘Jibth and Tauguth’. Jibth actually means anything that is ‘unreal’, un-actual, and useless. In the Islamic language the Magic, Astrology, Augury, Enchantments, Spell, Fortune-telling, (Un) auspicious, and all those unreal and imaginary things are interpreted as Jibth. It is stated in the note 81 in the commentary of ayath 51 of Nisa in the English version of the ‘Tafheem-ul-Quran’ of Abul Ala Maududi, that it is reported in a hadeeth that fortune-telling from the cries of the animals, or the traces of animal’s paws on the ground, and from the flight of birds constitutes Jibth. The exorcising is reported to be useless as stated in (Qiyamah-27) وَقِيلَ مَنۡۜ رَاقٍ۬and in Buqari hadeeth - Allah’s Messenger stated that those who reject exorcising and Amulets have the good news of unrestricted entry into the heaven.

                                           AMULETS (TAAWEEZ)

It is quite foolish to differentiate between various forms of magical practices, be they benign or malignant, devotional or magical, as legitimate or illegitimate, merely on the basis of their language, terminology, nomenclature etc. This is so because same concept forms the basis of all of them. And that basis is non-causative occurrence of different phenomenon, which influences in a concealed and occult way; and is against "the principles of causation - Rehmaniyat" based on which all the phenomenon occurs in this God appointed system. Therefore the Messenger of Allah stated [Narrated ‘Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood (radiyAllaahu ‘anhu) who said that the Messenger of Allah said: "Verily incantations [ar-Ruqaa], amulets [at-Tamaa'im] and bewitchment [at-Tiwalah 1 ] are shirk" - Narrated by Aboo Daawud, no. 3883 and made Hasan by ash-Shaykh Muqbil in al-Jaami’ as-Saheeh: 4/499, and al-Haakim: 4/217 and authenticated by ash-Shaykh al-Albaanee (rahimahullaah) in Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 1632 and in as-Saheehah, no. 331, and al-Haakim authenticated it: 4/217 and adh-Dhahabee agreed, and the hadeeth has been narrated by: Ibn Maajah, no. 3530 and Ahmed: 1/381 and at-Tabaraanee in al-Kabeer: 10/262 and Ibn Hibbaan:13/456 and al-Bayhaqee: 9/35] that all forms of amulets are indicative of Shirk, which clarifies that the amulets made of Quranic verses, is also a Shirk. The faith in amulets is a wish- fabricated one, a wild guess, and it breaks the bond (relationship) between man and God. It is evident that be it anything which weakens or corrupts the direct (straight) relationship between the God and his slave is untrue and baseless, be it the whispering of Mauzatein (Surahs of Falaq and Naas). As reported in Abu Dawood the Prophet has stated that the act of augury or belief in it cuts off one’s relationship with Quran. So far no such Trick, Amulet, Anklet, Ring etc has been discovered by which life, property, or the banks can be protected with (without appropriate means and ways or the efforts), or by which one’s hunger can be satiated without any food having been eaten. Bhanamati (a type of sorcerary) cannot burn either the currency notes in a bank or the clothes in a mill. Even the most popular of the magicians do neither perform their shows without tickets, nor get treated by the magic, but see the doctor, when they got ill. None use Amulets or trickery to lock their houses. It is to be observed that the dacoits can only take out one’s life or his belongings, but the ring sellers, the Sorcerers ruin the faith of the people and thereby destroy their Hereafter, which is, in fact the work of the Satan.             Also ['Uqbah ibn 'Aamir al-Juhanee (radiyaAllaahu ‘anhu) narrated that some people came to the Messenger of Allaah (SAW) and he took Bai’ah (Pledge of Allegiance) from nine and left one. So they said: “Oh Messenger of Allaah, you took Bai’ah from nine and you left this one.” He said: ((Verily upon him is an amulet [tameemah])). So his hand reached out to cut it, then he took Bai'ah from him and said: Whoever wears an amulet then verily he has committed shirk. Reported by Ahmed: 4/156 with an authentic chain, and al-Haakim: 4/219 and it has been authenticated by ash-Shaykh al-Albaanee (rahimahullaah) in as-Saheehah, no. 492 and made Hasan by ash-Shaykh Muqbil in al-Jaami’ as-Saheeh: 6/294]

                        THE SATAN

The Satan is a Jinn. (Kahaf-50) كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ “He was one of the Jinns”. Jinn was created out of fire prior to the creation of Adam (Hijr-27) It is evident from the Quran that Jinn can neither harm nor benefit the humans either bodily or economically. It can neither change its shape/ form nor get camouflaged. It can neither make its voice heard nor show itself. So, not even the Messenger either could listen to its voice or could see it.

“Behold! We turned towards you a company of Jinns (quietly) listening to the Quran; when they stood thereof, they said, “listen in silence”, when the reading was finished, they returned to their people to inform them.

(Jinn-1) قُلۡ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسۡتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ۬ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا سَمِعۡنَا قُرۡءَانًا عَجَبً۬ا  “Say, it has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Quran). They said, we have really heard a wonderful recital”. It is clear from the above two Ayaths that the Messenger was unaware of the matter of Jinns listening to Quran until it was informed to him by Allah through the revelation.

Moreover, (Araaf-27) إِنَّهُ ۥ يَرَٮٰكُمۡ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُ ۥ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا تَرَوۡنَہُمۡ‌ۗ  “That and its tribe (Satan and its race) watch you from a position where you cannot see them”. This means that, even the prophet could not see the Satan. However, with regard to Suleman it is stated that “Satan and Jinn used to carry out his instructions” (Anbiya-82, Naml-17, and Saad-37).

In Yusuf-111, The Quran is referred to as “a detailed explanation of everything and a guide and a mercy for the people who believe”. It is nowhere said in the Quran that the Jinn can be able to harm or benefit the humans either economically or with regard to their lives. And it is evident from the Surah An Naas and other parts of Quran that the Jinn can only create temptations in the minds of people; they can neither harm nor help us bodily or economically; or can make its voice listened , or make itself viewed; or cast a figure or disguise into other forms; nor can it descend or pounce upon a person. All these are proved from Satan’s own statement in (Surat Ibrahim - 22)

(On the Day of Judgment after the matter is decided the Satan will say) “ It was Allah who gave you a promise of truth, I too promised, but I failed in all my promises to you. I had no authority over you except to call you, but you responded to my call; so blame me not, but blame yourself. Neither can I help you (against the torment of Allah) nor can you help me (out of Allah’s decision). Moreover, on the Day of Judgment the Satan will say with the Lord (Qaaf-27) رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطۡغَيۡتُهُ ۥ وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَـٰلِۭ بَعِيدٍ۬ “Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was himself far astray”.

From the above citations it is clear that authority of either harming or helping the men bodily or economically is not at all given to the Satan or Jinn. None of the human beings, except Suleiman, was able to see the Satan or Jinn; nor the Satan or the Jinn could manifest (show up) itself to the human beings. Therefore the issues like making it one’s client (agent) or subduing, conquering, bottling it, or its descent on the people, especially women are obviously false without any further explanation as any sane person can understand it.

The basic and the sole aim of Satan is to make the Adam’s progeny entitled to the Hell fire by misguiding them to believe in wrong notions with regard to Allah’s system of nourishment (which is based on solid materialistic and causative principles) such as benefit/harm could be caused without proper causative means and ways having been employed. It is stated in (Hajj-4) that

Regarding the Satan it is decreed that whoever befriends him, he will mislead him and drive him to the torment of fire”. It is further stated in (Faatir-6) that عَدُوٌّ۬ فَٱتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّاۚ إِنَّمَا يَدۡعُواْ حِزۡبَهُ ۥ لِيَكُونُواْ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ “Verily, Satan is an enemy to you; so treat him as an enemy; he only invites his adherents, that they may become companions of the blazing fire”.

Beware! Can it happen that the Satan, whose basic aim is to make the Adam’s progeny rightful of the hell, makes a person strong and judicious? So that he can be prevented from going to the Hell. When this is not possible at all, is any other proof or reference needed to show the issues of Satan’s descent on a person or its ascent to be false and baseless. Generally, it is stated that, Satan has sought time from Allah to make the humans go astray, but it can’t be correct. But the fact is that the Satan has sought postponement (suspension) of the punishment he earned for disobeying Allah’s instructions of prostrating before Adam, and the same has been granted. (Araf-14, 15, Hijr-37 and Saad-79 & 80).

Once dead, no one can return back to the Earth in any form

“There is a ban on any population which we have destroyed; that they shall not return”.

The same is also stated at 98 of Mariam, and 31 of Yaseen.

Therefore Descent (coming under the influence) of evil spirits, demons, spirit of the dead etc are just false and imaginary, or they can be the mental or psychological disorders. We have been instructed to get treatment for the diseases apart from which we have to seek Allah’s help in this regard.

                                                     NAZAR-E-BAD (EVIL SIGHT)

(Noor-30) قُل لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يَغُضُّواْ مِنۡ أَبۡصَـٰرِهِمۡ وَيَحۡفَظُواْ فُرُوجَهُمۡ‌ۚ  “Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts”.

(Nur-31) وَقُل لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ يَغۡضُضۡنَ مِنۡ أَبۡصَـٰرِهِنَّ وَيَحۡفَظۡنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ  “And tell the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their private parts”.

The above instructions along with Allah’s instructions regarding the practice of ‘Veil’ (Purdah) as supposed in 53 of Ahzab disproves the evil effects of Vision or Sight.

But, unfortunately, it is from the hadith of Al Buqari that the matter of evil sight is made to spread all over. But the same is absolutely against the Quran, and is proved false (wrong) in day to day events and observations. Had this phenomenon been a truth the women would have practiced veil on their own, even without God’s instructions, and the billions of dollars spent on cosmetics would have been saved.

From the Hadith (Buqari) it is intended that it is the observer’s (the one who sees) mind that is affected, not that of the one who is observed, in any way. Every year at least a billion people (men & women) watch (observe) winners of the beauty contests, but none of the beauty is adversely effected. On the contrary, it is practically experienced by everyone that the minds of those who look at her are affected. It is narrated in 31 of Yusuf that those were the women who saw Prophet Yusuf (‘Joseph’ – son of Jacob – son of Isaac – son of Abraham) got affected and cut their hands in their amazement of looking at him, but, not the Mind of Yusuf.

NAHOOSAT WA BARKAT (OMINOUS or AUSPICIUOUS)

To infer any ‘thing’ (object, matter, article); ‘place’, ‘person’, ‘time period’, (minute, hour etc), ‘day’, ‘night’, ‘month’, ‘year’,; as auspicious or inauspicious is a satanic idea, and attributing the quality of auspiciousness [barkat] to any such is an act of Shirk.

(Mulk-1) تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ  “Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion (supreme power)”. The same thing is stated  in  many other places such as Araf-54, Furqan-1, 10, and 61. And the God shown way of being “blessed” (get benevolence) is to try to follow Quran in practice, (Maeda-66 and Araf-96).

With regard to the ‘Years’,’ Months’, ‘Days or Nights’, it is ordered in                                                                                                (Tauba 36) إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱلشُّہُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثۡنَا عَشَرَ شَہۡرً۬ا فِى ڪِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوۡمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِنۡہَآ أَرۡبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ۬‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلۡقَيِّمُ‌ۚ  " The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (in a year)― so ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred; that is the straight usage".

From this it is evident that none of the months in a year are either auspicious or inauspicious. So, necessarily, month, day or night, a period, cannot be either auspicious or inauspicious. The Satan is making the Adam’s progeny go astray (from the straight path) by dragging them into such false issues as auspicious or inauspicious. So to evade these fallacies of Satan it is stated in

(Tauba-37)  إِنَّمَا ٱلنَّسِىٓءُ زِيَادَةٌ۬ فِى ٱلۡڪُفۡر  "Verily, the transposition (of a prohibited month) is an addition to the Unbelief, whereby the disbelievers are led astray”. This is like transforming the special into common and vice versa.

According to the ahadith of Buqari and Muslim that one of the wives (Umm ul Momeneen) of the Messenger (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) used to fast on Fridays only. When he learnt it , the Messenger ordered for the breaking of the fast and emphasized ‘not to give preference (impart superiority) to the day or night of Friday over the day and night of a day after Saturday”.

It will be against the Quran to say that deeds in a Ramadan month fetch greater reward than those done in any other month, because, it is stated in Quran twice (184 and 185 of Baqara) that the ill and the travelers who missed the Ramadan fasting for a particular number of days shall made them up by observing fast for equal number of days in the following months. (Here it shall be noted that the instructions does not stress to make up with more than the missed number of Ramadan fasts).

These are the God’s rules

1) The ‘time’, once elapsed, will never return till the last day, and everyone knows that their date of birth will never return. But, the extremity of the ignorance is such that people believe that the Shab-e- Meraj, Shab-e-Barat, and Shab-e-Qadr can return every year, and they observe fasting and remain awake all through these nights, believing that it is highly rewarding.

2) The’ test’ for the Adam’s progeny (for which he is given life) demands that everything in this world must be alike, so that human being can make it either auspicious or inauspicious by putting it to a proper or an improper use respectively.

3) A ‘thing’ can be ruinous if used in a wrong way (i.e., for wrong purposes) and the same thing can be productive if used in a right way (for right purposes).

4) If things were auspicious or inauspicious, in reality (originally), all the human beings would have been affected by them in the same way as they are affected by the rain (auspiciously) flood or (ominously).

                            DUA (SUPPLICATION)

(Momin -60) وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادۡعُوۡنِىۡۤ اَسۡتَجِبۡ لَـكُمۡؕ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يَسۡتَكۡبِرُوۡنَ عَنۡ عِبَادَتِىۡ سَيَدۡخُلُوۡنَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِيۡنَ“And your Lord says ‘call on me (supplicate from Me only); I will answer yours (prayer); but those who are too arrogant to serve Me (who do not seek help from Me) will surely find themselves in Hell- in humiliation”.

Regarding the right way for the slaves to seek Allah’s help (to supplicate) it is stated that they shall call the Lord only, and seek help (supplicate) from Him, so that He is the only one who answers our calls, because only His authority runs in the Universe, none else’s. But against this emphasized guidance, some people call besides Allah (or solely) the Pious or the Prophets, and ask for their intercession in their supplications. Regarding such people it is stated

(Furqan-77)  قُلۡ مَا يَعۡبَـؤُا بِكُمۡ رَبِّىۡ لَوۡلَا دُعَآؤُكُمۡ‌ۚ فَقَدۡ كَذَّبۡتُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ يَكُوۡنُ لِزَامًا “Say (O Muhammad!) my Lord cares least when you do not call Him, (When one does not seek His help as per His shown way), but, you reject (the fact that the one who has created you will answer your calls), so, will the torment seize you very soon”.

It is only through the supplication that the slave joins Allah, as   the Messenger stated “Supplication is the essence of Worship”, “Supplication is the actuality of Worship”, and “The only way of turning to Allah is through supplication”.

Beware! In this world one can never come across a person saying offer Salat for me, or offer Suam (Fast) for me, but many flaunt (exhibit) themselves being faithful (religious) by saying ‘supplicate for me’ or ‘remember me in supplications’ despite them being aware of the fact that their Lord is nearer to them than their jugular vein (Qaaf-16).

Even a child can never ask others to recommend its mother to feed it. But, those who ask others to supplicate for them are un-wise than a child, because child is self- assured that its mother will certainly listen to it, but the one who asks others to supplicate for him is suspicious of his own Lord, that the God will not accept his supplications without others supplicating him. The following Quranic term AL- WASEELA is used to substantiate the intercession/ recommendation in the supplications;

Do your duty to Allah and fear him, and strive hard in his cause, and hope to achieve success”. It is totally wrong to  equate the Urdu word of Waseela (recommendation) to the Arabic term Waseela, because it gives the meaning of proximity or approach, and the ‘proximity’ is the one which can either be ‘found’ or ‘sought’ but cannot be taken. Had the intent, here, been, of taking support, the more suitable term ‘Quzuwa’ (to take) would have been used, instead of ‘Abtaghu’ (to find) which s actually used, which corroborates the subsequent clause’s meaning of ‘to strive hard in His way’. In other words, the only way of finding the proximity of Allah is to strive hard in His way, as has done by all Prophets, throughout their life. Here the word proximity does not give the meaning of nearness related either to time, or to space but it is more related to becoming more and more rightful to the ‘Grace of God’ which is possible only by saving our self from committing ‘disobedience’ (towards Allah) by being more and more aware of the severity of His punishment. In verses 56 and 57 of Israa (Bani Israel)    it is stated with reference to them who call others (the Pious and Prophets) for help that, they themselves (the pious and Prophets), till the end of their lives, desired for His Mercy and feared His Wrath”.

Beware that none of the Prophets has either invoked relation (intercession) or taken support of their own sincere deeds, because, none of His slaves is capable of getting his supplication ‘binding’ based on his deeds. Except this, employing any other way to achieve proximity is mere ‘distraction’ which leads to eternal fire.

It is impossible, in this world, to fulfill any need without employing proper means and ways. Quoting the examples in favor of invocations, relations, taking support during supplications is a satanic error, because, supplication is not a material necessity requiring the ‘means’; but it is an ‘expressive’ necessity. This issue is made confused by referring to fake Ahaadith, whereas, it is clearly instructed not to invent similitude for Allah (Nahl-74)

When the invocation/ taking of support is not applicable in Worship, how can it be applied to ‘supplication’ which is said to be the ‘Essence’ of Worship. Therefore, all the Prophets and all the true slaves of Allah have straightly asked Allah for help (supplicated). Even faith is also not a pre-condition for the acceptance of the supplication. Supplications of all the human beings are being accepted without any invocation, or support having taken or Darood (blessing offered for the Messenger). The non- Muslims, and even the atheists are not only getting nourished but they are even ruling over the people who are taking invocations or taking support or Darood. When the kid needs no invocation/ support for getting fed by its mother, how can there be any need of it to the God, who is said to be (70) seventy times more affectionate than the parents?

The Hadith which talks of Hazrath Adam (a.s) invoking the support of our Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s) for forgiveness of his sins is totally wrong. The same is mentioned in the book by name ‘MAUZIAT-E-KABEER’ in which its author Mullah Ali Qari has compiled many fake Ahaadith. Secondly, it is clarified in the Quran that Hazrath Adam (a.s) and Hawa (a.s)’s repentance had been accepted there in the Paradise itself. (Baqra-36) اهۡبِطُوۡ “Go down all you”, and in the subsequent Ayath (37),

فَتَلَقّٰٓى اٰدَمُ مِنۡ رَّبِّهٖ كَلِمٰتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيۡهِ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيۡمُ‏ “Then Adam learnt words of inspiration from his Lord, and his Lord turned towards him (accepted his repentance), for He is oft-returning, most Merciful”. In the next Ayath (38) the word اهۡبِطُوۡ “Get down all from here” is repeated. In the above Ayaths what is discussed is only about Adam learning some words (Kalimath) from his lord, and its details are given in Ayath 23 of Surah Araf. From the above Ayath every sound minded person can read only that Hazrath Adam and Hawa’s supplication for repentance was accepted (they were forgiven) in the Paradise itself.

Third, the inspirational words that Hazrath Adam learnt from his Lord are (Araf-23)

قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمۡنَاۤ اَنۡفُسَنَا؄ وَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تَغۡفِرۡ لَـنَا وَتَرۡحَمۡنَا لَـنَكُوۡنَنَّ مِنَ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ‏  “Both of them said, Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls; If you do not forgive us and do not bestow your Mercy upon us, we shall certainly be among the losers”. Accepting their repentant request (i.e. forgiving them), is as per the rules of Repentance, (as mentioned in Nisa-17), the responsibility of Allah himself. Therefore, in the next Ayath (Araf-24) it is ordered اهۡبِطُوۡاwhich means “Get down all”.

The fourth proof is that (Taha-122)   ثُمَّ اجۡتَبٰهُ رَبُّهٗ فَتَابَ عَلَيۡهِ وَهَدٰى‏ “Again His Lord chose him (for his grace), and accepted his repentant supplication”. Beware that the word ثُمّ  meaning ‘Then’ is used which clearly shows that his (Adam’s) disobedience was forgiven. The word of disobedience has been mentioned in the immediately previous Ayath i.e. (Taha-121). In Ayath no. 123 اهۡبِطَا “Get down both of you” is mentioned.

In spite of the above clear Quranic explanations, those who take invocation/ support in the supplications shall know how serious is the mistake being committed by them.

Allah has guaranteed the acceptance of supplications (Dua) of all.

(Baqra-186) وَاِذَا سَاَلَـكَ عِبَادِىۡ عَنِّىۡ فَاِنِّىۡ قَرِيۡبٌؕ اُجِيۡبُ دَعۡوَةَ الدَّاعِ اِذَا دَعَانِ “And when my servants ask you (Muhammad sas) about Me (then tell them), I am indeed close (to them). I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he callth on Me”. Moreover, in support of this, the issue of acceptance of Satan’s supplication is also mentioned

(to Satan) Be among those who have respite”; which is also mentioned at Saad-80, and Hijr-37.

Allah’s messenger (sallalahu alaihi wasalam) has given glad tidings of acceptance of supplications, in either exactly the same way as begged, or in an altered way (which is more beneficial to the Suppliant), or in the form of treasures in the Hereafter. Therefore, it amounts to denial/ refusal of Hadith and Allah’s instructions to believe that acceptance of supplication is dependent on time, place, person, blessing (as offered to the Prophet in the form of Darood), invocation/ support, reverence or intervention/ mediation etc.

                            GHULU (EXCESS/ TRANSGRESSION/ EXTREMITY)

Nations of the past had gone astray by committing excesses (Ghulu) with reference to their pious (Peer), and prophets. Therefore, so as to save us from Ghulu, Allah and His Prophet have established and determined the words and the deeds of supplication for the Prophet (making Dua for the prophet or Darood). For this reason, adding even a single word to the prescribed procedure of darood from our side amounts, not only to declare the prescribed procedure as insufficient, but is an act of Ghulu, which is strictly forbidden (Nisa-171).

Allah, so as to save us from Ghulu, instructed غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ “not to go beyond the truth” (Maeda-77), forbade us from committing excesses (Nisa-171) اللہِ اِلَّا الْحَقَّ۝۰ۭ  , and prohibited to say anything with reference to Allah, of which you have no knowledge, as mentioned at (Araf-33) وَّاَنْ تَقُوْلُوْا عَلَي اللہِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ۝۳۳ [٧:٣٣]

How can it be proper to call a creature (Prophet) Qair-e-Qalq (Best of the Creatures), that too in the supplication, vis-a-vis the class/ rank of Hameed um Majeed (the praiseworthy and Exalted), whereas, the words prescribed for Darood, (in the same way as you have sent blessings on Ibrahim) and (in the same way as you blessed Ibrahim), clearly negate and set aside the use of Qair-e-Qalq for the Prophet.

It is the prerogative of none else, but Allah to grant superiority to one Prophet over others. Beware of the following directions of Allah;

a) In Ayath 90 of Anaam  “These are the (prophets) on whom Allah granted Guidance, and follow the same guidance. Allah has given example of 18 prophets.

b) In Ayath 123 of Nahl [ثُمَّ اَوْحَيْنَآ اِلَيْكَ اَنِ اتَّبِعْ مِلَّۃَ اِبْرٰہِيْمَ حَنِيْفًا۝۰ۭ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ۝۱۲۳ [ “So We have sent you the revelation, thus follow the ways of Ibraheem, the true in faith (God sided), and he never joined Gods with Allah”] Allah has directed to follow the path of Ibraheem, and

c) In Ayath 35 of Ahqaaf [فَاصْبِرْ كَـمَا صَبَرَ اُولُوا الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ “Therefore persevere patiently, as did (all) the Apostles of courage”] Allah asks to patiently persevere as the Prophets have done with inflexible purpose.

Accordingly, Allah himself has termed way of the Companions of the Prophet (sas), as Sabeel-ul- Momineen(the way of the true believers). They have supplicated for the Prophet only in the prescribed way, and used only the prescribed words in their supplications. Allah has directed to opt for sincerity (intimacy) and earnest during supplications. In 29 0f Araaf, and 65 of Ghaafir/ Momin , Allah has ordered                  وَّادْعُوْہُ مُخْلِصِيْنَ لَہُ الدِّيْنَ۝۰ۥۭ “Call upon him giving Him sincere devotion or making your devotion sincere”. Therefore, taking invocation, support, or saying Qair-e-Qalq is equal to spoiling of the supplication.

To send human being as an Apostle for the human beings is the fixed rule of the God as clarified in Ayath 9 of Anam and 95 of Israa/ Bani Israel. This is so because it is not possible to put into practice even a single command of God without an Apostle having been sent to show how to put the God’s commands into practice; and this is the reason why the Scheme of appointment of Apostles was established. Ali Imraan-164 لَقَدْ مَنَّ اللہُ عَلَي الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ اِذْ بَعَثَ فِيْھِمْ رَسُوْلًا مِّنْ اَنْفُسِھِمْ يَتْلُوْا عَلَيْھِمْ اٰيٰتِہٖ وَيُزَكِّيْھِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُھُمُ الْكِتٰبَ وَالْحِكْمَۃَ۝۰ۚ وَاِنْ كَانُوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ لَفِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ۝۱۶۴ “Allah did confer a (great) favor on the believers by sending Apostles to them from among themselves who rehearses unto them the signs of Allah, sanctifying them, and instructing them in scripture and wisdom, while, before that, they had been in manifest error”.

By describing the Prophet as the one (in 46 of Ahzaab وَّدَاعِيًا اِلَى اللہِ بِـاِذْنِہٖ وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيْرًا۝۴۶) “who invites to Allah’s grace, by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light”; it is made clear that the right way of putting the Quranic instructions into practice is the “Sunnah” (Prophet’s practice), because our vision can be useful (to see) only in the presence of external light, not without it. Therefore, the Sunnah is asserted to be the “best of the favors”, as stated in 47 of Ahzaab وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ بِاَنَّ لَہُمْ مِّنَ اللہِ فَضْلًا كَبِيْرًا۝۴۷  “Then give the glad tidings to the believers that they shall have from Allah a very great bounty”.

It is in accordance with Allah’s rule that our Prophet was a mortal. His father was Hazrath Abdullah, mother Hazrath Amena, and wet nurse Haleema. He used to feel hunger, thirst; got injured and fell ill many times; ultimately died and buried by his companions. It is said in Ayath 8 of the Surah Anbiya وَمَا جَعَلْنٰہُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَاْكُلُوْنَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوْاخٰلِدِيْنَ۝۸ “Nor did We give them (Prophets) bodies that ate no food, nor were they exempt from death”. And in Ayath 34 of Anbiya وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ۝۰ۭ اَفَا۟ىِٕنْ مِّتَّ فَہُمُالْخٰلِدُوْنَ۝۳۴ “we have not granted any one before you a permanent life (here), then, if you die, would they live permanently?”

Just like to any other normal human being, food was essential for all the prophets (to survive), and none of them were immortals; and in 144 of Ale- Imran, 30 of Zumar, there is a mention of Prophet’s death. In addition to this, Hazrath Abu Bakr’s assertion (at the time of Prophet’s demise) “Those who used to worship Muhammad (sas) shall notice that he is, indeed, dead, and those who worshipped Allah, that He is alive, and will be alive for ever, and will never die” (Buqari), proves wrong all those claims which talk of Prophet being alive. The claim of Prophet being the Prophet for Jinnath too is contrary to Quran, and is a result of mere extremity (Ghulu); because it is against Allah’s scheme (plan, arrangement) of Prophet hood (sending Prophets for the Guidance of the people); and the god’s schemes in this regard is as follows;

1) (Anam-9) وَلَوْ جَعَلْنٰہُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنٰہُ رَجُلًا وَّلَـلَبَسْـنَا عَلَيْہِمْ مَّا يَلْبِسُوْنَ۝۹ “If We had appointed him an Angel, We would have made him a man first,”

) (Israa/ Bani-Israel- 95) قُلْ لَّوْ كَانَ فِي الْاَرْضِ مَلٰۗىِٕكَۃٌ يَّمْشُوْنَ مُطْمَىِٕنِّيْنَ لَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْہِمْ مِّنَ السَّمَاۗءِ مَلَكًا رَّسُوْلًا۝۹۵ (say) “If there were angles (settled) on the earth, walking about in peace and security, We should certainly have sent down, for them, from the heavens,, an angle as a Messenger”.

In the above two verses Allah has explained the purpose of bringing in the institution of prophet hood, which meant that whatever is the (type of) creature, one among themselves is chosen as their Messenger.

From many verses of Quran it is evident that our Prophet was sent as a Prophet for humans, for;

1) (Nisa-79) وَاَرْسَلْنٰكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُوْلًا۝۰ۭ “and we have sent you as an Apostle to all human beings till the last day.”

(O Prophet! Say) “O men! I am sent to you all as the messenger of Allah!”

O Prophet! “we have not sent you but as a universal messenger to men, giving them glad tidings and warning them (against sin), but most of the men do not understand.”

I am (sent) to you only to give a clear warning.” Here the use of the word ‘Innama’ makes two things very clear one, Prophet being a plain Warner is an irrefutable fact and two, that he is a clear Warner for men, not for Jin.

Many other verses of the Quran support the view that our Prophet (sas) is a Prophet only for human beings, some of which are as under;

1) (Baqra-143) وَيَكُـوْنَ الرَّسُوْلُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَہِيْدًا۝۰ۭ “And the messenger (Muhammad) be a witness over you”’ the same is said in 78 of Haj.

2) In 151 of Baqra the use of the words فِيْكُمْ (among yourself) and   مِّنْكُمْ (from among yourself); in 41 of Nisa it is stated, "How will it be, then, when We bring from every people a witness and bring you as a witness against these?" . From 29 of Ahqaaf and 1 of Jinn it is proved that the knowledge of Jinn listening to the Quranic recitation was revealed to the Prophet through Allah’s revelation.

Most important is that how can Mohammad be Prophet for Jinnath too when they are made up of fire. He was a mortal, and the mortals are made up of soil (clay). This fact of Quran can be grasped only when it is read with meaning and with an intention to get the guidance from it.

THE FOUR STATES (CONDITIONS) OF HUMAN BEINGS

O people! “How can you disbelieve in Allah? (even after) seeing that you were dead , and He gave you life. Then He will give you death, then again will bring you to life (on the day of resurrection); and then unto Him you will return.”

(The hell dwellers will say); “Our Lord! You have made us to die twice, and You have given us life twice. Now we confess our sins then is there any way to get out (of the fire)? It means everyone has two deaths and two lives; the rules and the knowledge about these states differ.

It is mentioned in 172 of Araf that in the first state of lifelessness all the progeny of Adam have attested that قَالُوْا بَلٰي۝۰ۚۛ شَہِدْنَا۝۰ۚۛ “why not, you are our Lord, we all testify”. But how was this testimony conducted is not mentioned. But subsequently in the same Ayath it is stated اَنْ تَقُوْلُوْا يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَۃِ اِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ ہٰذَا غٰفِلِيْنَ۝۱۷۲ۙ [٧:١٧٢] “Lest you should say on the day of judgement, of this, we were never mindful!” However, after the death in this world, it is stated in 61 of Waqiah وَنُنْشِـىَٔـكُمْ فِيْ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ۝۶۱ “And creates you (again) in (the forms/places) that you know not,” which makes it clear that after demise in this world, we will be shifted to such a place or recreated in such a form, of which we are not aware. And, here, we will be in the lifeless form till the day of resurrection; and in this very second lifeless form there is a life of which the people of this world have no knowledge, as stated in 154 of Surah Baqra وَلَا تَـقُوْلُوْا لِمَنْ يُّقْتَلُ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللہِ اَمْوَاتٌ۝۰ۭ بَلْ اَحْيَاۗءٌ وَّلٰكِنْ لَّا تَشْعُرُوْنَ۝۱۵۴ “And O believers! Say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah, ‘they are dead’; No they are living, but you perceive it not;” and in Ali Imran 169 also it is stated “do not take those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead, no they are alive with their Lord, and they have provision.” The state of second lifelessness is called the world of Interval or Separation (Alam e Barzaq), where one will stay till resurrection.

But, however, based on the above Ayaths, it is not correct to say that, only the martyrs (those who are slain in the way of Allah) are alive in the second state of lifelessness, because, firstly, both the believers and non believers, alike, have attested in the first lifeless form; and secondly, our Prophet Mohammad and some other Prophets were not martyred. Does it mean that these people can be thought of deprived of life in the second state of lifelessness, surely not? Therefore, it is true that one is alive in the second lifeless condition too, as was he in the first lifeless condition. It is mentioned in 46 of Momin/ Ghaafir اَلنَّارُ يُعْرَضُوْنَ عَلَيْہَا غُدُوًّا وَّعَشِـيًّا۝۰ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَـقُوْمُ السَّاعَۃُ۝۰ۣاَدْخِلُوْٓا اٰلَ فِرْعَوْنَ اَشَدَّ الْعَذَابِ۝۴۶ “In front of the fire they (the people of Pharaoh) will be brought, morning and evening; and (the sentence will be) on the Day that Judgment will be established; cast Pharaoh’s people to enter the severe torment.” The verses of the likes of the above cannot be taken as the ones supporting the ‘torment in the Interval’, because deriving such a meaning from them (the above verses) cannot be correct as it contradicts the other verses of Quran. For instance, we all know, and it is repeatedly and mentioned at several places in Quran, that on the day of resurrection, requital is awarded only after the judgment is pronounced; or example, in Ale Imran- 185 كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَاۗىِٕقَۃُ الْمَوْتِ۝۰ۭ وَاِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ اُجُوْرَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَۃِ۝۰ۭ “Everyone shall taste the death; and only on the day of resurrection shall you be paid (requited) fully.”

The other important aspect of this issue is that all those directives of Quran which narrate about the by-gone ages, and future periods are the verses of MUTASHABIHAT whose true and actual meaning is known to none other than Allah; and we have to believe in them in the same way as we believe in certain invisibilities. Imparting a meaning to them (verses of Mutashabiha), contrary to the meaning of verses of Muhkamat, is nothing but, crooked-mindedness. This is made clear in 7 of Ali Imran. When, nowhere in this world, any court punishes an accused, before the Judgment is pronounced, but we are attributing to Allah the clearly erroneous issue of giving punishment before the Judgment.

And it is in relation to this very issue of ‘second lifelessness’ that the Satan is vigorously trying to make the believers rightful of the Hell by entangling them into false beliefs, such as;

a) That there is no life after death, this life is all, and everything; and that even if afterlife is there; it is only incorporeal (spiritual).

b) That the Pious (Peer) and Prophets can hear the living’s call and they come to our rescue (as saviors), and intercede (recommend) with Allah on our behalf, and

c) There will be questioning in the Graves etc…..

Beware! It is in the Examination Hall that we have to (give/write) answer, not after passing out. And, answering is allowed within the fixed duration of the test; then how can anyone say that questions will be asked after the expiry of the duration of test i.e. (after the death)? This needs to be pondered over…..

As regarding the aspects of the Pious and Prophets, listening to the call of the living and coming to their rescue, help etc, their role is similar to the any other dead bodies, who can neither listen nor see; neither exercise power nor have any knowledge. They do not even know when they will be resurrected, as stated in 21 of Nahl اَمْوَاتٌ غَيْرُ اَحْيَاۗءٍ۝۰ۚ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ۝۰ۙ اَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُوْنَ۝۲۱ۧ “They (those who were invoked beside Allah) are dead and lifeless; they do not know when they will be resurrected.”

The Prophet of Allah (sas) is also not Holy (Subhan), because he is a mortal. It is stated in 93 of Israa/ Bani Israel “Glorified be my Lord (Allah) (who is pure of all weakness and stains); Am I anything but a man, sent as a messenger?” The same is said in 110 of Kahaf, and 6 of Ha-Mim- Sajdah also. For him (Prophet) too, like any ordinary believer, it was obligatory to acquire cleanliness (Taharah) by way of Ghusl, Wazu, or Tayyumum. He used to repent and ask for forgiveness (Taubah and Istighfara) very frequently, as was instructed by Allah, in 118 of Mominoon وَقُلْ رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ۝۱۱۸ۧ [٢٣:١١٨]  “So say, O my Lord! Grant your forgiveness and mercy for you are the best of those who show mercy.” The same guidance is given at 55 of Momin/ Ghaafir; 19 of Muhammad; and in 3 of Nasr. Certainly, all the Prophets are Honest unlike the Elders (Buzrug) who may not be. It is because of revelation of the Last book of guidance (i.e. Quran) on him that he came to be known as the ‘Last of the Prophets.’ After him, any claimant of the prophet hood, shadowy or apparent, is an impostor. He is called Rahmat-ul- Alameen because, the knowledge which makes the human beings entitled for the mercy of the God, unto the Day of Judgment, is sent to the world through him. His noble path is the best way of putting God’s slavery into practice. Allah has instructed to follow him in the methods of worship, commemoration, deeds of Sawab (reward); and to obey him in other affairs of life. To practice his guidance is the only way which makes one rightful of the mercy of God.

                                     BIDAT (INNOVATION)

Bidat originates from the misinterpretation of the issues related to Compliance (Itteba) and Obedience (Ita’at). Every form of Bidat is a misguidance; and it is proper to categorize it as severe or lighter (i.e. on the basis of its intensity) rather than good or bad (on the basis of its effects). To classify it as good (Hasna) or bad (Sih) is wrong because the Bidat refuses the necessity of the institution of Prophethood.

Hazrath Omar (RA) stating that performing Taraweeh prayer in congregation (i.e. ba Jama’at) is a Bidat-eHasna (Good Bidat) is from Zahri ki Mursalaat, and is false because it is universally accepted that Allah’s Prophet used to perform the Taraweeh prayer in congregation once or thrice. It is not possible that a prudent Companion like Hazrath Omar having termed the prophet’s Sunnah (way of Practice), a Bidat (Bidat-e- Hasna). The Jews and Christians call their Elders (Peer) and Prophets; their Priests and Anchorites as Ain- Allah (actual God), as stated in maeda-17 and 72; and as Ibn-e- Allah (Son of the God) as stated in Taubah-30 ابْنُ اللہِ, and 31 اِتَّخَذُوْٓا اَحْبَارَہُمْ وَرُہْبَانَہُمْاَرْبَابًا مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللہِ

"They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah,"

The Idol worshippers believe that their so called Gods and Goddesses intercede with God on their behalf, as stated in 18 of Yunus وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ ہٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ شُفَعَاۗؤُنَا عِنْدَ اللہِ۝۰ۭ “They are our intercessors with God.”

Allah stated in 3 of Zumar نَعْبُدُہُمْ اِلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُوْنَآ اِلَى اللہِ زُلْفٰى۝۰ۭ  مَا  that those who take for protectors other than Allah say (We do not worship the saints/ Anchorites taking them as God, but) “we only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah.” They say we worship the Anchorites/ Priests (in the form of Nazr, Niaz, Fateha, Darood) only in order that they make us rightful of Allah’s Mercy; and believe that celebrating their birth anniversaries to be a great worship and a good deed. And the Muslims, except as Allah wills, in the name of Tareeqat (Devotion), Haqeeqath (Truth), and Ma’arifath (knowledgeability), have faith in the concept of ‘Wahadat ul Wajood’ (Allah is present in everything, and every where i.e Omnipresence, Omni morph). They named it as the Knowledge (art) of Inspiration (Ilm-e- Laduni) and breast to breast Knowledge. Instead of obeying and following the instructions of Allah and His messenger (sas), they think and it is taught as well, that it is a symbol of belonging to Sunnah Jamat (party of Sunnah) by believing that bounty can be obtained by performing rituals like Urs, Sandal, Pankha (Fan), Chilla, Flags, Qawwali, Darood, Wazaif Chullahs, Meditation, etc, and by performing Pilgrimage to Ancient Relics. But actually one can be a part of Sunnah- Jamat, only when he takes the Book of Allah, the Practice of Prophet (Sunnah) and the way of the Companions as the standard bases of their belief, and put the same in practice.

ISHQ-E-ILAHI WA HUB-E-RASOOL (LOVE FOR GOD AND LOVE FOR MESSENGER)

Allah and his Messenger have made it clear that the (only) way of expression of faith and love is “Complying and Obeying” the Messenger. Ale-Imran 31  قُلۡ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تُحِبُّوۡنَ اللّٰهَ فَاتَّبِعُوۡنِىۡ يُحۡبِبۡكُمُ اللّٰهُ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَـكُمۡ ذُنُوۡبَكُمۡؕ‌ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ‏   “Say, if you love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins; for Allah is oft-forgiving, and most Merciful.” The specific characteristic feature of the believers is reported as being ‘overflowing in their love for Allah’ in 165 of Baqra ‘ اَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلہِ‘.

The Prophet (sas) stated that one who took my practice (Sunnah) as ‘beloved’ is the one who loves me; and the one who declines it is not from my Ummah (Follower); and the one who disobeys me is the one who rejects me (Hadeeth). The fact that the Prophet’s companions were the ones who had real love for Allah and His messenger on the basis on the following references of the Quran.

a) (115 of Nisa)  سَبِيۡلِ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ “Whoever breaks away with the Messenger after the right path has become clear to him, and follows what is not the way of the believers [the companions of the Prophet], We shall let him have what he chose, and We shall admit him to Jahannam, which is an evil place to return. ”

b) (13 of Baqra)  اٰمِنُوۡا كَمَاۤ اٰمَنَ النَّاسُ  “And when it is said to them, “Believe as people [the companions of the Prophet] have believed,” they say, “Shall we believe as the fools have believed?” Beware, it is, in fact, they who are the fools, but they do not know.”

c) (137 of Baqra) فَاِنْ اٰمَنُوْا بِمِثْلِ مَآ اٰمَنْتُمْ بِہٖ فَقَدِ اھْتَدَوْا“So, if they believe as you [the companions of the Prophet] have believed, they are indeed on the right path.”

d) (100 of Tauba)  رَّضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَرَضُوۡا عَنۡهُ   “As for the first and foremost of the Emigrants (Muhajirin) and the Supporters (Ansar) and those who followed them in goodness, Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Allah"

And the Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) stated, “Those who are on the path (of my own and that of my Companions) are the ‘Ahl-e- Sunnah-wal-Jamat’ and he made   his companions the standard touch stone (Criterion) in the ‘Faith’ and in the ‘Practice’ till the last day. It is worthwhile to ponder over for a moment for them, who in spite of all the above facts, do not consider the Companions as the ‘STANDARD’ in both Faith (theory) and Practice (deeds).

The Companions have not celebrated the birth/ death anniversaries, or the Commemorations; not organized the Meetings/ Processions on Prophet’s birth day (Milad/ Seerath), nor did they sang the Salam, nor organized the Assemblies of Darood, nor did they celebrated the occasions of Quran completion, Buqari completion, Quanjgaan, nor they spread the table clothes (Dastarqwan) of Ayat-e-Kareema. They not even did the Wazaif or Awrad (Quran commemoration practices), Chilla, Meditation, or Zikr in the way as practiced today, or inflicted cuts/ blows. Therefore, each of these ways (procedures) which are contrary to, or different from, the ways of the Companions is, in fact, a biddah, or a Misguidance. The correct means (way) is an essential requirement for achieving noble objectives; otherwise, instead of getting Mercy, we will be made accountable. Carrying out a task which is not ordered (enjoined) for, taking it as ‘rewarding’ amounts not only to affirming the Deen (Faith) deficient, but also to deform (distort) it                                      (Baqra-211)  وَمَنۡ يُّبَدِّلۡ نِعۡمَةَ اللّٰهِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ شَدِيۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ‏  “…… whoever changes Allah’s favor (Deen) after it had come to him, then, surely, Allah is severe in punishment.” And as per a Muslim Hadeeth, the Prophet said, “Fight against (strive against) them who says things which they do not practice, and practice (perform) those deeds of which there is no instruction.”

DUTIES OF THE FOLLOWERS OF MUHAMMAD (sallalahu alaihi wasallam)

(UMMAT-E- MUHAMMADIA KE FARAIZ)

It is essential for one to become part of Messenger’s followers (Ummat-e- Mohammadiya) to try hard to deliver the knowledge (Ta’alimaat) brought by him, to all the peoples of this world. (O Prophet), this is my way (Sunnah), I do invite unto Allah, with sure understanding, I and whoever follows me must invite others to Allah.”  We can be ‘Good and Proper’ followers (Ummath) only by doing the same work (i.e. calling the people towards Allah). But due to utter negligence and disregard to this ‘Official Duty’, the Muslims have become pawns in the hands of erroneous people (Ahl-e-Batil) (Baqra61, and Ali Imran 112). This is a state of punishment which will continue till we begin our ‘Official Duty’. But, unfortunately, instead of steering the Muslims towards thirsting for the hereafter, many individuals, organizations, and the Governments are competing with each other in employing the fabricated ways of expressing the Faith, Love, Propagation, and rectificational issues.

Accordingly, in Pakistan, the Prophet’s birth anniversary is celebrated as the ‘Festival of Festivals’ (Eid-ul-Eyad) with greater pomp and splendor than Eed-ul-Fitr and Eed-ul- Azha. Much of the wealth, instead of being spent on constructive activities, is spent on those activities which are actually distorting the faith. It is extremely oppressive that by collecting subscriptions (Chanda) to accomplish these devastative activities the Muslims are made to go astray with their own money spent. Hazrath Eesa (as)/ Jesus was the Prophet only for Israelites, but his followers are busy in propagating the Christianity in the nook and corner of the Globe. And those who believe Quran to be the Last Guidance (book) and Muhammad to be the last Messenger and Rahmat-ul- Alameen are busy in performing Prayer of Rosaries, (Salat-ut-Tasbeeh), Prayer of Ghousia (Salat-ul- Ghousia) Quran/Buqari completion, completion of Kalima-e-taiyabah, Qwajgah, Ayat-e-karima ceremony, celebrating (by being awaken) the bountiful nights and days, singing Darood and Salaam, performing Matam and Marsia (singing on the dead), Pilgrimages, transferring of Mercy (Eesal-e- Sawab)  by way of Chehullum(40th day of death) and death anniversaries, establishing relation with Allah through Qawwali and in gaining bounty by celebrating 11th, 12th, days and Kunda’s etc. Beware that these practices are Bidath, if performed with an with an intention of attaining Sawab (Mercy), and are Shirk, if performed with an intention to gain blessings (Barkath) or to get benifitted or to safeguard from losses. It is so because, the profit or loss occur in accordance with the laws (established by) of Allah. And the eatables related to these affairs are not the benediction (Tabarruk) but, in the light of Ayaths 173 of Baqra; 3 of Maeda; 145 of Anam; 115 of Nahl وَمَآ اُہِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللہِ بِہٖ۝۰ۚ “Forbidden to you are those eatables on which the name of other than Allah has been invoked,” is prohibited.

                            KAAFIR (REJECTOR)

212 of Baqra saysزُيِّنَ لِلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا الْحَيٰوۃُ الدُّنْيَا وَيَسْخَرُوْنَ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا۝۰ۘ  “Beautified is the life of this world for those who disbelieve, and they mock at those who believe.”

For the rejecters (of faith) this world is a place of joy and they scoff at those who believe and who are worried of their hereafter. This means that rejecter (Kaafir) is the one who is fully involved, day and night, in making this world better for him; and he makes a mockery of the those who are more concerned about safeguarding themselves from the losses of the next world, renouncing all the illegitimate things which are profitable in this world, and happily tolerate all the difficulties encountered (coming in the way) in this world.

                                MOMIN (THE TRUE BELIEVER)

The one who is tangled with his efforts to safeguard himself from the losses of the hereafter is a true believer. And whenever a wrong is committed, he, immediately prays for forgiveness and tries to get rectified.

                                    MUNAFIQ (THE HYPOCRITE)

He orally affirms the Kalimah (Oath) but when comes to implementation he goes against the instructions of Allah and his Prophet. He is not ashamed of having disobeyed, either for the sake of the benefit, or to protect himself from the loss, of this world. He puts into practice only those instructions of Allah and His Messenger, which do not harm his worldly interests. Lying, Breach of trust, dishonesty, rebuking etc are the attributes of a Hypocrite.

He attributes the losses or difficulties of this world either to the God or to the others, which actually occur due to his mistakes.

                                  FASAAD (MISCHIEF/ DISCORD)

Any act of the day to day life, if, performed against the instructions of Allah and His Messenger is a Mischief, and one who commits it is Mischievous. Examples; Lying, Breaking the promises, Adulteration, Smuggling, Use of faulty measurements/ weights, Bribery (both accepting and offering), degrading others (to think that others are inferior to him), Violating the rights of others, To pretend, etc. One who commits the mischief is deprived of the Paradise.

It is essential, for any people to become a good nation (Qair Ummath), that they must instruct to do good and abstain from evil doing (Amr bin Maaruf and Nihi am Munkir). The foremost of the command for doing good is وَاعْبُدُوا اللہَ “Serve Allah only” and the foremost prohibitive command isوَلَا تُشْرِكُوْا بِہٖ شَـيْـــًٔـا “And join not any partners with Him, in any way” (Nisa-36). It is essential to follow the principle of ‘Amr bin Maaruf and Nihi am Munkir’ to safeguard our self from the punishment not only in the hereafter, but also in this world; (Maeda-79) “They used not to forbid one another from evil doing which they committed.” Please refer to the Ayaths 25 of Anfaal, and 163 to 167 of Araaf. (Muslim -4908, Chapter Al Amr bin Ma’ Aruf) “Whenever you witness commitment of an evil (act) stop (change) it with your hands (physically); If one is unable to do that he shall try to change with his tongue (oral objection); and if one is unable to do even this he shall try to change it with his mind/ heart (i.e. abstain from taking part in it), and this is the weakest of the faith. In one of the Muslim hadeeth the last effort is depicted as the faith equal to mustard seed. One who considers an act to be wrong can never participate in its execution. This contributes to the rectification and propagation work as well.

THE BASIC AIM OF QURAAN (QURAAN KA BUNIYADI MAQSAD)

(Furqaan-1) تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِيْ نَزَّلَ الْفُرْقَانَ عَلٰي عَبْدِہٖ لِيَكُوْنَ لِلْعٰلَمِيْنَ نَذِيْرَۨا۝۱ۙ  “Blessed is He who sent down the criterion (i.e. Quran) to his slave (Muhammad ‘sas’) that he may be a Warner to the Mankind.”

This Quran has been revealed to me and you; so that I may herewith warn you and whomsoever it may reach (i.e. they shall also warn others).” Look also at 170 of Araaf, 51 and 52 of Furqaan.

It is proper to point out the error in ones faith and deeds when Muslims are addressed and invite them to rectify the same in the light of the Book, Sunnah, and the path of the Companions; and when non Muslims are addressed their dogmas of universal acceptability, such as that ‘One God for all’, all the human beings have common racial descent, the commonality of their likes and requirements leads to the deduction that their belief (faith) must also be common, shall be emphasized, and the loss that is likely to cost for the refusal of such a belief shall be stressed before them.

                    LIE (JHOOT)

Telling lies and making false evidences (oaths) is a sin equal to that of ‘Shirk’ (i.e. joining others with Allah in worship).

(Haj-30) فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْاَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوْا قَوْلَ الزُّوْرِ۝۳۰ۙ [٢٢:٣٠] “but shun the abomination of idols, and shun the ‘Lies’” (word that is false).

(Furqaan-72) وَالَّذِيْنَ لَا يَشْہَدُوْنَ الزُّوْرَ۝۰ۙ “Those who witness no falsehood” are stated to be the attributes of worshippers of Allah.

                            PROMISE BREAKING (WAADA QILAAFI)

One promise breaking act ruins all the good deeds of the past. (Nahl-92) وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا كَالَّتِيْ نَقَضَتْ غَزْلَہَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّۃٍ اَنْكَاثًا۝۰ۭ “And be not like her who undoes the thread which she has spun, after it has become strong by taking your oaths as a means of deception among yourselves.”

(Saf-2) “O, You who believe! Why say you that which you do not?”  This makes it clear that breaking one promise makes all our past good deeds futile.

                                PRETENSE (RIYAA)

The faith in Allah and the Hereafter, of those whose deeds are (performed) with the intention of ‘Showing off’, (not real, insincere) are not acceptable.

(Baqra-264) يٰٓاَيُّہَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تُبْطِلُوْا صَدَقٰتِكُمْ بِالْمَنِّ وَالْاَذٰى۝۰ۙ كَالَّذِيْ يُنْفِقُ مَا لَہٗ رِئَاۗءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللہِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ۝۰ۭ “O you who believe! do not make your charity worthless by reproach and injury, like him who spends his property to be seen of men and does not believe in Allah and the last day; so his parable is as the parable of a smooth rock with earth upon it, then a heavy rain falls upon it, so it leaves it bare; they shall not be able to gain anything of what they have earned; and Allah does not guide the unbelieving people.”

Hadeeth - Even the slightest of ‘show off’ is equated with Shirk. To lengthen, the Qiyaam (standing position in salaat), Ruku (bending), Sujood (Prostration), Dua (Supplication), even for a few seconds, for show-off purpose also amounts to Riyaa, which is an act of shirk. To be well dressed, well-fed, is the natural human tendency, but the same shall not be done with a purpose of showing to others, or in competition to others, lest such people will be branded as dissemblers (Riyaakaar), all of whose good deeds will be fruitless.

                            EXTRAVAGANCE (ISRAAF)

The spendthrift (those who spend more than needed) is stigmatized to be the brother of the Satan. (Israa/ Bani Israel-27) اِنَّ الْمُبَذِّرِيْنَ كَانُوْٓا اِخْوَانَ الشَّيٰطِيْنِ۝۰ۭ  “Verily spendthrift are brothers of Satan.” One of the attributes of slaves of Allah is stated as follows in Furqaan-67 وَالَّذِيْنَ اِذَآ اَنْفَقُوْا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوْا وَلَمْ يَـقْتُرُوْا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذٰلِكَ قَوَامًا۝۶۷  “Those who, in their spending, are neither extravagant and are nor stingy, but hold a balance between these (extremes).”

Generally, on the occasions of marriages etc extravagance occurs along with emotional spendthriftness. It is really a matter of great concern that we are not even aware of it being sinful. Contrary to that in the name of desire and affinity (Aarzu and Armaan) they deceive their own conscience, as many of our own brothers are entangled in the poverty. It will not only prevent us from sinning, but also earns a lot of reward from Allah, if extravagance on such occasions is avoided.

                                    JIHAD (ENDEAVOUR/ EFFORT)

Next to the oath of faith (Imaan), struggle is the fundamental prerequisite that makes one rightful of Paradise. (Baqra-214) اَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ اَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّۃَ وَلَمَّا يَاْتِكُمْ مَّثَلُ الَّذِيْنَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ۝۰ۭ مَسَّتْہُمُ الْبَاْسَاۗءُ وَالضَّرَّاۗءُ وَزُلْزِلُوْا حَتّٰى يَقُوْلَ الرَّسُوْلُ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مَعَہٗ مَتٰى نَصْرُ اللہِ۝۰ۭ اَلَآ اِنَّ نَصْرَ اللہِ قَرِيْبٌ۝۲۱۴ [ “or you think that you will enter Paradise without such trials as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the messenger, and those believed along with him said, ‘when (will come) the help of Allah?” Yes, certainly, the help of Allah is near! Moreover, in 142 of Ale Imraan, 16 and 111 of Taubah the same is stated. Jihad is the precondition to escape from the ‘troublesome torment’ (Saf-10) يٰٓاَيُّہَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا ہَلْ اَدُلُّكُمْ عَلٰي تِجَارَۃٍ تُنْجِيْكُمْ مِّنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍ۝۱۰  “O you who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a painful torment?” Hadeeth - Allah won’t care for a Muslim in whom there is no passion for struggle, whether he dies as a Jew or Christian.” Wrong notions and practices about Jihad must be found out (pointed out) in the light of Quranic knowledge, as stated in 52 of Furqaan Listen not to the disbelievers, but strive against them (by preaching) with the utmost endeavor with it (The Quran)”; in the same way as all prophets did. (Apostle)  “Reciting unto them His verses (Quran).

                            CONGREGATIONAL (COLLECTIVE) LIFE [IJTEMAYEE ZINDAGEE]

Many of Allah’s commands have begun with ‘O, you who believe!’(يٰٓاَيُّہَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا). He has, specifically, ordered to lead a collective (congregational) life, under the control of one leader. Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you. If you differ in anything among yourself (with the Ameer), refer it to Allah and his Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. This is best and most suitable for final determination.” Regarding the phrase ‘leave the matter (dispute) to Allah and His Messenger means to abstain when you are ‘oppressed’ and when your rights have been violated, so that you will get the reward of your abstention, and they (who violate your rights) will get the due reward for their act of violation/ oppression. We must always bear in mind what has been said about belief in Allah and the other World. The faith (regarding Allah and other World) of those who do not have any Ameer (Leader) is not acceptable. Jihad is possible only when life is under the leadership of one Ameer.

Allah’s Messenger (sas) has stated that he has been ordered to observe five aspects, viz.

1) Congregation

2) Hearing

3) Obedience

4) Migration

5) Struggle

One shall be elected as a leader, whenever, (at least) three Muslims happen to be together either during a journey or at a settlement. Hadeeth - He dies a death of ignorance whose neck lacks the twine of ‘oath of allegiance’ (Baith).

One who obeys his leader (Ameer) obeyed me, and one who obeyed me obeyed Allah.

Hadeeth - There is “No Islam without congregation, no congregation without the Leader (Ameer), and no Leader without Obedience.”

When asked (by Companions) as to what shall be done when there can’t be a leader? He replied that such a place is not suitable for them to live, and they shall leave for the foot hills along with their flock of sheep to settle.

It was due to having leaded a congregational life under one leader that slavish people, whose male infants were being killed at the instance of their birth, and female infants abandoned alive (the Israelites) could liberate themselves from the oppression of the pharaohs (Firaun). (Yunus-87) وَاَوْحَيْنَآ اِلٰى مُوْسٰى وَاَخِيْہِ اَنْ تَبَوَّاٰ لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوْتًاوَّاجْعَلُوْا بُيُوْتَكُمْ قِبْلَۃً وَّاَقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ۝۰ۭ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ۝۸۷ “and We revealed to Musa and his brother; provide dwellings for your people in Egypt, and make your dwellings as places for your worship, and establish salat (prayer), and give glad tidings to the believers? (i.e. lead the life around a center)

All of the false sects (non-believers) are leading their lives under a common leader. Muslims too own congregationalism in many aspects of their temporal lives, but they are not ready to accept the same as far as their eternal life is concerned.

In spite of the above instructions, guidance, and the realities the state of our faith/ belief is so imperfect and empty that no virtue can rectify it.

Getting rid of the disgrace in this world, and the Hell fire in the hereafter can be possible only when we repent of wrong beliefs, Innovations and disobedience; and incline towards Allah in all matters; and convey the message of “La Ilaha Illallah” (There is no God but Allah) to the others, because this is the only way of becoming rightful of Paradise (Paradise). And by putting these into practice one can become the helpers of Allah, as stated in Saf-14, (Hud-88) وَمَا تَوْفِيْقِيْٓ اِلَّا بِاللہِ۝۰ۭ عَلَيْہِ تَوَكَّلْتُوَاِلَيْہِ اُنِيْبُ۝۸۸  “And my success (in my task) can only come from Allah, in Him I trust, and unto Him I look.”
